Youth Civic Service (YCS) Joins Global Dialogue at 2025 UN ECOSOC Youth Forum

Co-Founder Hudson Yang Represents Youth-Led Initiatives Focused on Sustainable Development and Social Inclusion

NEW YORK, NY — April 18, 2025 — Hudson Yang, Co-Founder of the youth-led initiative Youth Civic Service (YCS), represented the organization at the 2025 United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum, held from April 15–17, 2025 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Mr. Yang joined thousands of young leaders, policymakers, and civil society representatives to contribute to the forum’s theme, “Youth at the forefront: Leveraging science and social inclusion for a sustainable, resilient future.”

The ECOSOC Youth Forum serves as a key global platform for young people to engage directly with UN Member States and contribute to policy discussions advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This year’s sessions focused on accelerating progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — including climate action, poverty reduction, and strengthening global partnerships.

Representing YCS, Mr. Yang participated in plenary dialogues and thematic breakout sessions, sharing insights drawn from YCS’s hands-on community service and environmental action programs. His participation emphasized the organization’s commitment to ensuring that young people are not only consulted but also empowered as active contributors to policy and social innovation.

“It was an honor to represent Youth Civic Service at the ECOSOC Youth Forum and bring our community’s voice to the global stage,” said Hudson Yang. “Our generation is not just inheriting the future — we are actively building it. YCS is founded on the belief that when youth are given the right tools and opportunities, they can lead meaningful change. This forum was a vital opportunity to ensure that youth-led solutions remain central to building a sustainable and resilient world for all.”

YCS’s participation in the ECOSOC Youth Forum underscores its growing role as a youth-driven organization advancing civic engagement, leadership development, and environmental stewardship, and highlights the importance of translating local action into global impact.
